Jinci Temple and Evergreen

Today was a busy day. After breakfast, we went to the
Jinci Temple. It was a beautiful sight - a large park with
many beautiful buildings. We enjoyed roaming around.
Hong Hui and Brian even put their hands in a
fountain of youth. We'll see how that works out for
Brian!

We returned to the hotel briefly and left to visit the Sterns at their home outside of town. Again,
we enjoyed a delicious lunch with them. We've had some wonderful dishes that I've never seen
before. I have a growing appreciation for Chinese food! Brian, Hong Hui and I visited the
Evergreen offices with Ashley, while Mike took the rest of the kids back to their apartment to play.
Evergreen is an amazing organization. We hope to be able to come back to Taiyuan someday
and participate in one of their programs. Then, we went to the Evergreen farm, which includes a
cheese farm. YUM! Let's hope we can make it through customs with it.  Otherwise, we'll be
enjoying lots of cheese in the customs line.

We have been blessed by our time in Taiyuan in so many ways. The Sterns have been an
unexpected treat. They've directed us to good food, a great park and some wonderful books for
Hong Hui, among other things. Tomorrow, we leave to fly to Guangzhou. I can't believe we're
almost halfway through our trip.
