Day 13
Wednesday, September 28 - almost 9 pm
The countdown for returning home has begun. Even Davis is unwilling to get out a
toy that's already in a suitcase!
We had our last group dinner tonight at the Banana Leaf - Thai food. It was one
of the best meals we've had in China. The food was outstanding, and the waiters
sang and danced to American songs. Our table discussed how much we've missed
drinking tap water - not something I've ever considered a luxury!
We also went to a beautiful park at the base of a mountain in Guangzhou. The
gardens were perfectly manicured, and the fountains were beautiful. And, Davis
enjoyed getting to run around. He also had his picture taken in emperor garb - the
first blue-eyed Chinese emperor! Naomi also enjoyed doing some walking (with
assistance). She loves her squeaky shoes!
Naomi spent the majority of her day with Daddy, and she seems to be opening up
to him more and more. It's a blessing because it gives me more time with Davis,
which he really needs and enjoys. Davis is enjoying making her laugh, and she
laughs easily at his tricks. He loves an admiring audience!
Can't wait to be back in Texas!
