Day 7
Today has been a great day! Naomi is really beginning to bond with all of us.
She has not screamed at all today - really a major thing. Trust me on that!
She woke up happy and continues to eat really well. She eats more than
Davis. Maybe even twice as much.
We visited a local village this morning. It is a village like this that our guides
say 100% of the children in the orphanages come from. It was very poor in
condition, but the people were happy and friendly. The village was filled with
older women and children. The parents were probably out working in the
fields. Davis interacted very well with everyone and we smiled and touched
as many people as we could. We want them to remember our love for them.
We visited a porcelain manufacturing area and bought Naomi and Davis tea
sets. This area is the most famous porcelain manufacturing area in all of
China. The Ming Dynasty porcelain was all from here. Beautiful things.
We went to the market this afternoon to get an extra suitcase for our
treasures. Davis also picked up an "Ultra" backpack and some "Ultra" light
up tennis shoes. This Power Ranger super hero is popular in China and Davis
loves him. We even bought a DVD that Davis loves to watch in Mandarin?
